Chase Neely


Chase Neely is currently the Percussion Specialist for Miami Public Schools, Adjunct Professor of Percussion/Assistant Director of Athletic Bands at Northeastern Oklahoma A & M College, and the Adjunct Professor of Percussion at Missouri Southern State University. Chase holds a Master of Music degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Arkansas and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Missouri Southern State University.

Chase is an active designer, instructor, and consultant with several high schools throughout Missouri and Oklahoma. He has directed, instructed, and designed for the four-time MCCGA medalist Joplin High School Winter Percussion (2009, 2011, 2013, 2014). During the summer of 2012, Chase was invited to perform in Belgrade, Serbia. He has been on staff with the Yamaha Sounds of Summer Camp in Joplin, Missouri for four years.

Chase is currently a member of the Kansas City Royal Thunder drum line where he has performed in the 2014 ALDS, 2014 AL Wild Card Game, and the 2012 MLB All-Star Game. He is also a member of the Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra and the Ozark Festival Orchestra. Chase was a WGI Independent World Class Finalist with Gateway Indoor as well as a member of the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps.

Chase is a member of the Percussive Arts Society and a member of the Vic Firth Education Team.
